"trolling" is the new "epic" or "ftw"

Doesn't the site always say "new" when there's a new podcast? Sometimes I don't get it so I never know. Oh well, glad I caught this.

That guy really should have hurt them. Patrick needs to learn a lesson. But really why the fuck would Star Wars and Jaws be on a jukebox in a bar?

Posted by YoungBuck

Is it downloading slow for anyone? I'm showing 1 hour left for it to finish.

Posted by DexterKid

It's Theatre, not Theater. Get it right.

Posted by Roger_Klotz

"Spelunky is like a dangerous fart." (GiantBomb) Now that's a back of the box quote.

The NEW ranges from a little to very late. If it's around podcast time, I advise just checking the page every once in awhile.

What lesson? He wasn't the one who put $20 in there.

It does have roguelike elements in it.

Windows 7 Home Premium here and I can totes set up a Japanese keyboard.

Posted by envane

@Flacracker: yes it is , albiet crossed with platformer action .. in the words of derek yu

My goal was to create a fast-paced platform game that had the kind of tension, re-playability, and variety of a roguelike. In roguelikes, the gameplay tells the story, and I wanted to give Spelunky that type of a feeling... but make the player rely on their reflexes rather than their brain (or knowledge of what 50 billion command keys do!). If there's a best of both worlds, that's what I was trying to go for.

I always love the 4th of July discussions on bombcasts.

Having fun being a jokey dick is still not worth listening to Dual of the Fates over and over.

Posted by SpunkyHePanda

I had forgotten about the word "onslaught".

I really hate it when these guys use extremely vague anecdotal evidence to form opinions on games that they know nothing about. They do it ALL the time. Another example in this episode, Jeff and Brad talking about The Secret World, ''I haven't heard very good things about it'' ''I've heard some baaaad things about it''.

Patrick probably does this more than most, there are countless examples where he just conjures up a fully formed opinion about a game based on second-hand opinions he heard from someone somewhere.

If you don't have first-hand experience or opinion on a game, you don't need to just say something for the sake of it.

If you don't have first-hand experience or opinion on a game, you don't need to just say something for the sake of it.

But we form second-hand opinions from watching a quick look and then we discuss it. That's really no different from what they are doing. If we get mad at them for doing it, then we're all hypocritical sons of bitches and if people say they don't, then they are lying.
