College students in Amerystwyth (which is somewhere in britain according to google maps) are playing through the first 3 generations of pokemon games to raise money for Japan. Viewers can donate money to the group do various things in the game. These things include:
- Naming a pokemon a specific thing
- Picking moves
- Choosing pokemon for their team
- Naming the character
- Having them catch specific pokemon
- And much more!


At the time of posting this they are fighting the elite 4 in Red version and have caught all 3 legendary birds using only a magikarp and great balls. They've been playing for the past 26 hours and plan on continuing until people stop donating (max of 96 hours).

I can't donate due to paypal hating me, but i thought i'd spread the word on the wonderful GB forums to help them that way!

EDIT: They just beat the elite 4 in Red version, 32.5 hours in and are now heading after Mewtwo
