The latest CoroCoro has dropped, and as always we got some sweet Pokeman news. This month, "The Mega Evolution Scoop" reveals three new megas: Salamence, Altaria, and Lopunny.

Mega Altaria: Man, this thing sounds and looks beast! It's dragon/fairy, immune to all dragon type attacks, and its ability, Pixilate, turns all of its normal moves into fairy moves and give them a 30% power boost. Simply put, this thing was designed to murder dragons.

Mega Lopunny: Fighting/Normal with the ability Scrappy, which allows Lopunny to hit Ghost types with normal, and fighting type moves.

Mega Salamence: A good example of a Pokemon that definitely doesn't need a Mega, but one that would be cool. He looks pretty fly. It has the ability Aerilate, which turns all normal moves into flying and gives them a 30% power boost. Not bad at all!

So yeah, pretty good picks overall I'd say. Any megas you duders are hoping for? Personally I'm hoping my boy Flygon gets one.

Altaria turns into a bird-poodle. Seems cool though.

I'd love to see Torterra, Typhlosion and Dragonair (but it'd probably be Dragonite that would get one).

I could see myself using any of these. Aerilate and Pixilate are both ridiculous abilities. Which is probably good because if they're going to take up your Mega slot they need to be strong. The designs themselves are weird looking though.

Where does that mega lopunny end and where does it begin?! Just looks like sausage now, rabbit sausage.

New video showcasing the new Pokemon, as well as some other news:

• Horde Battles will return
• At one point in the game you can enter the Contest Spectacular, where you will receive a special "Cosplay" Pikachu that you can dress up. This Pikachu can also be used in battle, and depending on its attire it will have a special move that it could never learn otherwise, such as Meteor Mash.
• Similar to Torchick with Blazikenite in X/Y, Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire will have a distribution event at launch where you can obtain a shiny Beldum holding Metagrossite.

These games need to hurry up and come out.

Something else that wasn't in the new video is Horde Trainer battles.

I thought cosplay Pikachu was pretty dumb, but Luchador Pikachu is growing on me.

So they still haven't mentioned anything about Trainer Customization have they? I'll be pretty bummed if that's not standard for the series going forward.

They haven't announced anything yet beyond the different attire your trainer can wear during contests I believe. It better be returning, playing online where everyone is the generic Brendan and May characters will get old fast.

Who knows, though. Gamefreak has the horrible habit of introducing awesome new features one game only to completely forget about them in the next.

Tekken XXX Pokemon?

Can't find it now, but there was a screenshot of the Korean website that seemed to show Mega Audino devolve a Blaziken into a Combusken. wut?

@gunslingerpanda: I think a bunch of fake screenshots were floating around. There was one where Audino didn't have a Mega symbol so people were wondering if it's just a straight evolution. Granted this is all an accidental leak so who knows what's true.

It makes me happy to see Game Freak being creative and surprising with Mega Evolutions. At first all the Megas revealed were predictable and obvious but now we're seeing ones nobody expecting. I mean Mega Slowbro is totally unexpected. That is going to be a massive defensive wall and Mega Audino is going to provide ridiculous support in Double battles. Immune to Ghost and neutral to Fighting but with the Fairy typing, it doesn't have to worry about Fighting types at all. I really hope though that this was not what Junichi Masuda was supposed to show at Gamescom. If it was then now he doesn't have much to show off.

Hell yeah Mega Slowbro! Mega Salamence looks like it's gonna be a beast too.
