Yeah that was a pretty lame promo. Play these games for early access and it came out 30 minutes after it was available for retail east coast.

You get a free copy of Portal 2 plus the Valve complete pack if you got all the potatoes....so it was pointless for most people as most people own the entire Valve collection.

I was banking on a special TF2 hat.

There was nothing to get "suckered" into. The Potato Sack on it's own was an incredible value (hell I bought the games before anyone even knew there was an ARG involved with it). The ARG stuff on the weekend on sweetened the deal, turned the whole thing into an event. Anyone that is butthurt after buying awesome games and then playing said games over the course of the weekend is a fucking moron and should stop gaming immediately.

The fact that you got Portal 2 for free if you got all the potatoes is kinda ridiculous since they were very much promoting buying both the Sack Pack and Portal 2 before.

You didn't even get a guest pass for the extra copy, so it kinda feels like I've wasted my money considering I could have got it for free...

Still, the Potato Sack itself was, atleast to me, worth the price. Plus, I got the Valve games I didn't already own aswell.

The Portal 2 thing still bothers me though... I hope they will give us a guest pass for it or something.
