Portal 2 review: from this banana loving monkey

Please note: I have took good care not bill is many details and spoil this game with in this review, please enjoy.

Playing Portal 2 is a dream.

I am not through the main campaign, though I am third fourths done.  Its a refreshing change of pace from shooting zombies. The crisp clean graphics are a vast improvement from its predecessor in the orange box.  Happily it has not lost any of its charm.

The voice acting, partially from the character Wheatley, had set an endearing mark. The funny one liners are gems. After you have solved a puzzle and are transitioning to the next the commentary from the robots in the lab are rewarding. Trophies are nice but nothing can take the replacement of rewarding content.

    The Puzzles

The puzzles where challenging, though not overly so. Portal 2 plays smoothly for the new comer to the Portal franchise. The gradual progression of difficulty made the player feel as If they had to think but not get frustrated over not getting it. There are visual does as where to plot your portals. Hint: look for the light. For being a puzzle game it is not mind boggling. If your a math wiz looking for a challenge, Portal 2 is not that game.

    Steam Support

The steam support, integration slides in seamlessly.I bought a used copy so, not able to get a free version on the PC. Seeing how d bought it for the PS3 and really only want to play it on the console I didn't see this as much as a disadvantage. Though having steam it was a great advantage in seeing my friend coming online and could message me that he was ready to play a different game on steam. That was great seeing how it saved him on a phone call.

I have not played the co-op yet. Though d look forward to playing that as soon and finish the campaign.

Now You're Thinking With Portals... 0

2007 was arguably one of the best years in game release history. That year, a dozen or more AAA titles released, hitting the pockets and calendars of gamers everywhere. The Orange Box is one example, and packaged in as part of a five game deal was Portal. Portal was a puzzle platformer the likes of which had never been seen. The popularity of the Half-Life franchise combined with the deal of 5 games for the price of one drew gamers to The Orange Box and Portal became an overnight hit while ...

      A fantastic sequel 0

First things first: This review is spoiler free.Back in 2007, Valve released a product called The Orange Box which offered five games for a damn good price: Half-Life 2, HL2: Episode 1, HL2: Episode 2, Team Fortress 2 and Portal. The set was incredible deal and offered an incredibly rich Half-Life experience to those who haven't played it, but it was Portal that was gaining the most widespread attention. Portal was a puzzle/adventure game and instead of shooting bullets at monsters, you'...
