One of Sonic the Hedgehog's sidekicks. She is a pink hedgehog who was first introduced to the series on September 23, 1993. She was not created by the Sonic team.
Introduced to the Mario series with Doki Doki Panic, Birdo is an effeminate dinosaur with a penchant for cute things. Although initially a boss enemy, nowadays she mostly appears as a friendly side character.
Blaze is Sonic the Hedgehog's rival of sorts, debuting in Sonic Rush and appearing in several titles since. She is played by Bella Hudson in the English version and by Nao Takamori in the Japanese version.
Cheese the Chao is a supporting character from the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise. He is the pet and Chao friend of Cream the Rabbit, a helpful and innocent rabbit.
Cream is a young mild mannered rabbit. Along with her Chao friend Cheese, she appeared in Sonic Advance 2, and later in other Sonic games, whilst also making cameo appearences.
The Original Donkey Kong made his debut in the game of the same name, where he tossed barrels at his nemesis Mario. His grandson, Donkey Kong Jr., went on to create a legacy of his own in games such as Donkey Kong Country and Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze.
Honey Queen is a recurring Mario character who made her playable debut in Mario Kart 7.
Made his first appearance in Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and is now a mainstay in the franchise. He also enjoys a friendly rivalry with Sonic and rapping about the places he visits.
Luigi is Mario's brother. He began as a simple palette swap of Mario, but was later differentiated. In his later forays, he provides comic relief.
A pale pink member of the Luma species. He befriended Rosalina at a young age and accompanies Mario and Luigi on his search for the power stars in both Super Mario Galaxy games.
Originally a carpenter named Jumpman, this Italian plumber has gone on to become the most recognizable video game character of them all, starring in a veritable pantheon of titles like kart racing and sports. He has been voiced by Charles Martinet for nearly 20 years.
Debuting in Super Mario Bros. Wonder, Florian is the ruler of the Flower Kingdom.
Princess Peach Toadstool is usually the damsel in distress from the Mario franchise. She gets kidnapped frequently by Bowser, though she's not averse to being captured by various other villains from time to time.
Rosalina is a character from the Mario Universe who first appeared in Super Mario Galaxy as an NPC before becoming a playable character in later appearances. She is voiced by Mercedes Rose in all of her appearances to date.
Rouge is a professional treasure hunter and part time spy for the government first introduced in Sonic Adventure 2.
Shadow is an artificially created Hedgehog who never ages. He is able to warp time and space with the use of chaos emeralds and is known as "the ultimate life form" in the Sonic universe. He has the same abilities as Sonic the Hedgehog.
Silver is a futuristic hedgehog from the Sonic the Hedgehog series. He made his debut appearance in 2006's Sonic The Hedgehog and has psychic powers.
Sonic the Hedgehog is one of the world's most famous video game characters and the mascot of Sega Enterprises Ltd. Sonic was introduced on June 23 1991 with the launch of Sonic the Hedgehog for the Sega Genesis. His super speed makes him one of the fastest fictional characters.
Miles "Tails" Prower is Sonic the Hedgehog's two-tailed sidekick who was first introduced in Sonic the Hedgehog 2.
The Toad is a member of the Toad species. He is a loyal attendant of Princess Peach and often assists Mario on his journeys in a variety of ways.
Toadette is Toad's female counterpart and most commonly appears the various Mario spin-off games, such as the Mario Party and Mario Kart games.
Luigi's dark counterpart, who is mainly known for appearing in Mario spinoffs. He is voiced by Charles Martinet. Enjoys playing a game of tennis with Wario.
Wario is Mario's rival and doppelganger; a crude garlic-loving brute with an obsession with treasure. Wario's name is a portmanteau of the word "warui" ('bad' in Japanese) "Mario".
Yoshi is a recurring character in the Mario franchise and has since gone on to star in his own games.
