GreggD replied to the topic Abortion? 11:41AM
I chose B, however my reason for doing so is quite simple. If you are in a loving relationship, and want a child, I don't think it's okay to change your mind after conception. So really, only if it was unwanted, unplanned, or forced. I hope whoever reads this understands my reasoning.

I can't wait until this thread gets locked, or dies. I'm sick of getting sucked in by this argument, but it's so damn good.

This is one of the reasons why people can still contract the flu after getting a flu shot. People are overreacting to the swine flu. Remember SARS? What about the avain flu? whooping cough?  "West ...

Yes, yes. We get it, you're a Phillies fan. I think you're a little TOO into this, frankly.

Not a bad way to spend hump day, quite frankly. And I don't have to worry about college for a full week after the game comes out.

You'll be in school, and I'll be at home. And since I don't drive, I guess neither of us is getting Modern Warfare 2 until the afternoon. You're not alone, I feel your pain.

It's really good, so far. I was able to watch the majority of the first season of The Whitest Kids U Know, and I'm currently watching a Henry Rollins special. One major plus is that they have the entire Monty Python's Flying Circus on instant streaming, which I'm sure is a major plus for many of you, as well. I would recommend it to anyone reading this.

I'm thinking about writing a review here on Giantbomb, and I've narrowed my choices down to three games: Grand Theft Auto IV, Doom 3, or Elder Scrolls IV. I'd like you folks on OT to help me decide. So please, leave a comment on which one I should do.

EDIT: Due to overwhelming demand, I will write a review for Doom 3. Look for it sometime within the month. Unless, of course I procrastinate.

And don't expect anything spectacular, but definitely readable.

I've been waiting for this for a while, and I knew they'd release the sequel to The Elder Scrolls: Arena (the first game in the series), after releasing that for free to download some time ago. This just made my day.

So, "my boy Lucius", as I call him, is still hard at work on his project "DarkXL".  DarkXL is a Windows port of Dark Forces, the DOS shooter that first introduced us to Kyle Katarn, the lovable rogue-later-turned-Jedi of the Star Wars ancillary fiction.  The project is a straight port of Dark Forces, with graphical tweaks and upgrades a-la "eduke32"(the Duke Nukem 3D port for Windows).  Like Duke 3D, Dark Forces is notorious for being hard to get running on DOSbox, so it's good to see someone taking the time to port something of this calibur.  On top of that, the project is featuring a complete level editor for the Dark Forces fanbase (there are a lot of them, believe me).  Check out this thread for a few screenshots and explanations of the editor in action.  Anyway, I asked Lucius whether he built everything himself, and he had this to say:

"The editor and DarkXL have been built from scratch. The editor is actually built into the DarkXL executable and uses the same engine. It's about as WYSIWYG as you can get, for DarkXL anyway."

I'm not very good at making custom maps, but let's just say I'm staying along for this ride.
