I know that the implications of the agreement really have no bearing on my playing Bad Company 2. However, I do think that it's offensive to commit a massive goat fuck of a debacle and then create a contingency that ensures that they won't be held accountable if and when they next go to the farm. Legally it is inconsequential to me. I agree with the sentiments of many on here. Regardless, out of sheer principle, I'm sending the letter.

Word.
I just bought a copy of FF7: Crisis Core, but I'm a Canadian citizen, and Gamestop sold me a copy with a frigging French instruction booklet.
No offense to French people, but it so happens that I can't read it.
Any suggestions on where to find one online or elsewhere? I have contacted Square, but they're taking their time getting back to me.
Thanks.

To come from a different perspective I bet that will run it as well as the console version will look.  I would assume the console game will be 1280x720 with no AA and probably no AF, with medium textures.  I bet your computer could run it just fine at those settings.
I guess I was thinking the same thing. I'm the kind of guy who lives to play the game for the sake of experiencing it. If that's a little below the bar it doesn't matter so long as I get to play it. By the way, I saw your comment on being gifted a copy of the game over on GOG.com. Very cool story. Thank you everyone for your contributions. I'm still not sure what I'm going to do. I might just bite the bullet and pick up L.A. Noire...Should have mentioned this earlier, and I'm not sure if anyone has read to the contrary, but I saw somewhere that video adjustments are set rigidly at low, medium, high, etc., rather than allowing for sliders and so on to mess with graphical settings. Thanks again.
There are more graphical options available than any other game released in the last few years.

My bad.

Isnt the game releasing on consoles along side the pc?
See, that's what I thought! But no. It has been quazi-announced, but CD Projekt isn't even tackling development until the PC version drops. And though they stated that they are dedicated to porting it despite how it does financially on PC (not that that will be a concern for them this time around) they're such a small developer...it's hard to say for sure that the ports will make it.

I know. I know how annoying this question is. But if someone out there who is good with PCs is feeling generous, could you please tell me if getting The Witcher 2 is worth my while on the system I have. Because I HAVE TO play this game, and I'm concerned the 360/PS3 ports won't see the light of day.
I have one of those dime-a-dozen HP Pavilion dv6's:
AMD phenom II P840 Triple-Core (1.9GHz)
4gigs of RAM
512 ATi Radeon HD 4250 (I intend to use my 1080p Sony Bravia as a monitor)

I know that I meet the minimum requirements, and I know that I am below the recommended requirements. I have been out of PC gaming for a long time and have never tried to run anything on a laptop before. Though my system versus minimum requirements suggest I can run at a medium or at least a handsome low, I'm wondering if there is a distinction between utilizing a laptop versus a desktop on a graphically demanding game, as this is supposed to be.
When you read my system specs, based on your general know-how, are you drawing in breath and saying, "Err...I dunno"? That's what I'm asking.
Thank you for your time, guys.
