I would rather developers put more resources into good art direction rather than fighting tooth and nail to keep frame rates up to the max. I mean sure 60 FPS is nice to have, but it's not a deal breaker at least for me, as long as the overall experience is reasonably smooth.

With Sony fragmenting hardware somewhat, and Microsoft doing it's PC stuff, I don't think I'll be buying anymore consoles aside from possibly the Nintendo NX (depending on how that turns out). I'm interested in the Playstation VR but aside from that, meh, I think I'll stick to primarily gaming on my PC and just upgrade that as needed.

I would also look at the AMD Radeon R9 390. You can buy one for under $500 CDN, and they compete quite well with a GeForce 970. I think that will probably be my next GPU.

@shagge: I'm Canadian, I'd totally watch those videos. Dan being intentionally/jokingly judgmental of Canada would be hilarious! :D
