I just loved Stranger Things 2 so much so I thought i’d post up something I drew. I’m tempted to also draw some of the Bomb-duders as the kids but in their respective ghostbusters uniform.
That transition shot from greyscale to pie was.... inspiring.
Also, hi all! Not new to GB but new to this thread. Been a GoT TV fan since it started and was looking for a safe place where I can discuss the show with some like-minded duders :D
Couldn't find a forum post on this but for I've got an extra golden ticket to give out to skip the line if anyone wants the Monzo card. First one to ask for it gets it!
I played through Ori and the Blind Forest recently and the moment where you first burst out of the water tree was a moment of pure amazement for me. It's the first time that that game shows how variable and beautiful it's art style can really be. Going from the dark, claustrophobic and narrow hollow tree to the fresh, bright new look of the general forest was wonderful. I remember pausing the game and literally applauding the TV without really thinking about it first. It was my favourite gaming moment of this year. Of course the game didn't come out this year, but I just played it for the first time recently.
I second this. That game was so amazing, from the music to the art direction to the tight controls. Can't wait for the second one!
I really had an emotional reaction to Bioshock 1 when the revelation of what was going on dawned on me. I then just started thinking about Bioshock for the next few days and the story it told and how immersed I was in Rapture.
Thought I'd go to my favourite source of entertainment on the internet for advice. I've recently been starting some daily doodling to help me de-stress after a long day of work. And now I sort of figured maybe I could just post it all online as a webcomic of sorts.
I've got a WordPress account (which is basically unused) and I'm hoping to make something simple, like the XKCD website. To do that, would the tools in WordPress be sufficient for that? Or would I need to use of team GB's fine web-building sponsor (and make small businessman proud)?
I'll attach a picture of one of the doodles I've made if it helps. I was thinking of making some GB related doodles as well if time permits. I think a good starting point would be Dan's dream on today's Beastcast of being a racquetball (spoiler block included for those who haven't heard it yet because it's a magical moment).
I'd appreciate any general advice you all have about starting a venture like this!
Hello duders! So I've finally played through Firewatch. I'm a bit late to the party I know, but it was a busy year and it went on sale a couple of weeks ago so I finally got it!
Firstly, I think it's a phenomenal game, in no small part due to the excellent voice acting. I just couldn't help but play through the whole game in one sitting. It's just that engaging.
Anyway, I was going through the developer commentary and one of the first things they mentioned is that they used the Twine software (https://twinery.org/) to help storyboard the intro to the game. You know, the one where you make little choices about Henry's past.
To that extent, I'm just curious if any of you duders have tried it out before. Apparently, it helps you make your own little choose-your-own text adventure. I'm interested in experimenting with it. If you've, please share it here! I'd like to see what this software is capable of. Couldn't think of a better place to solicit help than from you fine duders.
Personally, I'm excited to make my own little mind map for a short story.
