In their weekly livestream Salty Cupcakes that was on yesterday, Mike Z gave a comparison of gave dev costs with star wars battlefront 2 which he worked on. He stated that it cost $28 million to make, and if it theoretically took half the budget (it didn't it costed 1/4 according to him) for level design and implementation, that's leaves $14 million. if you divide that by every unit, hero and vehicle (80), you get $175k per character. That's not taking into account the leftover assets from being a sequel and duplicates.

so that's 175k for a re-texture and new particle effects.

Just to clear things up, in order to meet deadlines they had to sacrifice some things like movelists to implement much more important core features such as GGPO setting screen and touch button button config.

They ARE patching them in along with the other fixes to minor gripes people have with it.

also, those load times on 360 are pretty bad. Have been playing the PS3 version and they're not nearly that long.
