This was meant to be playable at TGS, right? Has any website reported anything yet? I hope we'll get some higher quality videos soon (even if shaky cam again), perhaps an official release of the trailer in direct feed form too... I can't wait to see more.

Some more images.
I like what I see but I wish they showed more off combat images since the few areas seen so far are imaginative and beautiful, even the overworld map looks pretty and relatively detailed with things like trees and such visible.

De Blob gets my vote but I've yet to experience any of the games on that list except for Mario Galaxy :P

They never promised that prior to Motion Plus. I'm not sure if they've even said it for Motion Plus itself, though it's quite likely of course.

Anyone want to take a stab at how much this add-on costs?"
Could you link to a reliable source for this? I'm genuinely interested. But you're misinterpreting this, they already said Motion Plus will be "very affordable" or something along those lines. They're just explaining it wouldn't be "very affordable" 2 years ago.

They reclaimed control of the market thanks to what they offered for what people perceived as a good price to pay. Obviously an even smaller price would perhaps have even more success. Their "huge profit margin" is only thanks to their excellent business sense, it's not the reason they're on top this generation. After all, Nintendo always make a profit with every system sold, that's one of the reasons the GameCube's distant third place last generation didn't affect them too much while people thought they'll go the way of Sega.

Anyway, obviously nobody's going to buy Motion Plus unless games they really want use it to good effect. Isn't that how every accessory works? Why would you buy it if it was basicaly not something you'd use or enjoy?

As for 1UP wondering if anything Nintendo's done so far was the right move, they need only check their sales data for the answer.

It's okay, not everyone can buy every good game on release day or close to that. I would have bought De Blob already if that was the case, instead I'll list it as my next title to get too :P

They're not remakes, they're ports. Think Resident Evil 4 for Wii.

I don't want them to remake a game that I already own for the gamecube. I want nintendo to focus there energy on making new games for the wii, that I would like to enjoy rather than replaying a game I played 3 years ago. It doesnt matter to me if they are the wii controls, the gamecube controls worked just fine for those games.

They're not remakes, they're ports. Think Resident Evil 4 for Wii. Hardly requiring much energy at all to take from other projects, considering even as ports they already function on the Wii.

They also chose the perfect games so far, both Pikmin and Metroid can benefit from the remote functions.

They're not remakes, they're ports. Think Resident Evil 4, it's the same deal here. The GameCube was a distant third place last generation so it makes sense to re-release some of the better games for all the new owners of a Nintendo system, it's not like many stores still keep a healthy GameCube stock for people to be able and find these as easily as new titles. A re-release ensures new exposure and available stock.

I'll probably be getting at least one Metroid and one Pikmin game since I too never had a GameCube and I loved Metroid Prime 3. I mostly want non Nintendo games from tis back catalogue though, and mostly games that wouldn't benefit from a new control scheme so I still have to hunt down for many of the classics like Skies of Arcadia instead of wait for a handy re release. Oh well, the new games will tide me over ;)

They really should do a Master Quest style version of Wind Waker though, I'd be all over that even though it has nothing to benefit from the motion controls. I'm not saying Twilight Princess controlled bad, just that it was the same experience and it only made a difference when aiming the ranged weapons and tools (it wasn't implemented as good as it could but it worked better still) and of course for the great fishing mini game.

PS: That link claims Nintendo will unveil WiiHD at TGS. I guess people forgot to tell them Nintendo don't attend TGS anymore and instead have their own Media Summit. Just in case people started taking the WiiHD for granted again, it only gets less likely every time its discussed like this...
