Re: Mages are powerful... to me, so far in the game, it would seem as though things scale with your level throughout the game so there would be no reason to get to a certain level in the game to finish it.  That said, I've only finished two of the four major plot points - circle of Magi and Redcliffe.  [edit]  Oh yeah, and Morrigan for life.  I love that character. ...

  • Anderson replied to the topic What's the deal with the PC version? in the Mass Effect 2 board.
I played through the original Mass Effect on the 360.  Much later I picked up the PC version during a Steam sale and played about halfway through the campaign for kicks.  I think they did a decent job with the interface on the PC, but as far as graphics are concerned, they weren't a huge improvement over the console version (character models/textures seemed a bit better but the rest felt ...

  • Anderson just started a topic, What's the deal with the PC version? in the Mass Effect 2 board.
I personally like the PC version better. The interface is a lot easier to navigate and the combat is a little smoother.

  • The idea is novel, but from a technical standpoint this simply cannot work as advertised with current infrastructure.  It comes down to simple maths.  I'm unable to find any actual numbers in Mbps for their streams, and I'm willing to bet that once we get a number, it will prove that either a) they've compressed the shit out of both picture and sound to the point where there is a ...

  • Anderson commented on Vinny's video Wheelman Trailer
Man, I sooo want this game to be good. Vin is the shit when it comes to voice overs. Well, if this doesn't work out there's always Dark Athena. The original was excellent and Starbreeze has already proven that it can deliver so it's going to rock, no doubt.

A nice addition to the 3am drunken singing solo career in Rockband perhaps. At 3am after 10 G&Ts you don't really give a shit about scoring or pitch sensing tech - you just want to sing!

@CrazyGamer"@Stcb:"Crazy GamerMan, sorry to break it to you, but you get unlimited chances in most games. It's just called "game over".It is not the same. In most every other game I've played, the checkpoint is at the beginning of the boss fight, and once you beat them, then you get a new checkpoint."------------------------------------------------------------------------To be fair, Stcb didn't say it was the same, he (she?) said you get unlimited chances in ...

  • While I'm not likely to return to the land of Azeroth any time soon, the review was very well written and gave me an excellent understanding of what's what in the new content. Very well done, indeed, Andy.

@Pseudo_Sidious I have never played the game, nor the demo, and stated as much in my post If you read my post and thought that I missed the point, I think you missed the rather sarcastic undertone of what I wrote. ;)

ZOMGWTFBBQ!!??!?eleven!Five stars, really? Brad, you are so wrong to like the game and to have enjoyed playing it to the point where you give it 5 fucking stars. It's a 2 star game at best. I haven't played it or anything, but all the ratings I've read elsewhere on other sites says that this is not a good game, and that they didn't enjoy it as much as the original ...

  • Anderson commented on Ryan's editorial review Left 4 Dead
I played the demo and really enjoyed the fast paced action, but I was a bit disappointed to read that the campaign was 4 separate scenarios rather than a coherent story line. That said, I probably will pick it up at some point and play through the campaign. Right now I have too many games in the backlog.

  • @pedantics"but yeah, banning people from a paid service for something that's pretty much impossible to prove (unless microsoft are operating illegal surveillance on their customers) is a bit of a cunt act. "What's impossible to prove?  The reason modded boxes get banned is because they're modded, not because Microsoft can prove that you are playing pirated games.  Modding your console has been a violation of their TOS since day one.  ...

  • I personally only buy new games (and quite a few per year, as well), but then again I make enough money to make that viable.  I totally understand that there are people out there that are still in school or enjoy a career that doesn't pay enough to allow them to spend all that money, and to them the used games market offers a way to enjoy more of the ...

  • Your ideas for advertising sound very good.  Keep it clean without too much intrusion and it doesn't bother me (hell, I might even click a link or two when it's done right).  I would also love to see an option to subscribe without advertising.  I know it's a bit of a hassle to deal with certain aspects of that, and I'd rank it as a "nice to have" rather than a "must have" ...
