I've always had a steadfast rule that I don't want to meet my heroes but there was always the major exception when it came to Giant Bomb. It felt like I was meeting them every time the podcast or livestream started.
Thank you for the years of laughs, insight and amazing content. Thank you for the down to earth conversations with people working in the industry and facilitating the needed reminders to everyone that those in the games industry are individuals with their own thoughts and feelings. We don't always have to talk about video games and often people are at their best when they aren't but damn I'm glad they help get everyone together in a room in the first place.
@royalghost: It was ruthless how fast it died that I had a good laugh when it happened. I love the soundtrack and it got me pumped through much of the game but I see their reasoning on effectively hearing another take on tracks already redone to death at times. Takes a little wind out of the sails versus the fresh stuff this year.
I've been playing a lot of Super Metroid Link to the Past Randomizer lately. It might be fun to fire that up on a stream along with a couple other games and see if that draws in a few bucks for the children.
Sayonara Wild Hearts was definitely the most impactful for me this year. I adored the soundtrack and visuals. The hopeful and uplifting moments in the end was the icing on the cake for me and put a smile on my face in a way a game hasn’t in a very long time.
