For me, things started to go down-hill after Assassin's Creed Brotherhood. Don't get me wrong, pirates are cool but if Ubisoft wanted to make a pirates game then they should've just made an entirely new IP. I miss when AC was about quiet, unseen stealth kills, when assassinations were about careful planning and good timing (not kill, run, and they'll forget about you once you've ran far enough). Lastly, I miss when the Desmond side of things actually made sense.
I hope Ubisoft rectifies things with their upcoming AC. Here's hoping they'll go back in time to one of the many better eras they skipped.
