he is watching you

No Caption Provided

This is not a creepy pasta theard. But why is it people are so freaked out about being watched. I mean its so bad that all i have to do is stare at my friend and do nothing and they get very nervus. My friend was telling me a story about his past and all i did was look right at him and kept a blank look on my face and he was ready to poop himself.

Its the same with cameras as well. People can act so much different around them knowing they could be recorded

It seems to be a part of human nature. Even as i stare into the picture i posted it feels almost as he is staring back into my very soul.

It probably comes from some mammalian instinct of a fear of predators stalking you. As far as cameras and such go, it's a well known psychological fact that people act differently when they are being monitored (or at least perceive themselves to be). For example, social theorist Jeremy Bentham designed what he called the "panopticon" in the late eighteenth century, which was a prison in which all of the cells were built in a circle around a central watch tower. Because each prisoner would know that at any moment they could be monitored by guards in the tower without knowing, prisoners behavior would be much more positive. I don't have a psychological explanation for this phenomenon, but it serves as a fascinating case study.

I still firmly believe the creepiest thing to come out of the Zelda games was that mask salesman!

I agree he is creepy as hell for sure. My friend once pulled a prank on me, we talked about ben creepy pasta and he changed my right tone for texts as the traveling sales man laugh. Then he texted me at like 3 am and i heard him, made me jump out of bed and put the lights on.
