EFFIN THX! I really like the Horizon games, each design individually is so cool. Love the IP. It really does get rather bizzy tho, and when the awwwh!factor sizzles down, it becomes a little apparent that the frequent narration is there in a forest for the literal trees function. This does feel a little like complaining about a restaurant having food that is too good, after all glowing objects and handholding in general is perhaps just as big of a reminder of what kind of videogame you are playing. I would say tho, it is reasonable to think that this crew could walk that line and hit it better than anyone. That this is where we are is also not that surprising, late gen/new hardware, and historically perhaps the inverse of the beiGears of War era. It will adjust. Great vid Jess!
For wrestling fans I would suggest watching Israel "The Last Stylebender" Adesanyas entrance to his defence of his champion belt in UFC 276 this weekend. It spellbound me back to the floor in front of the TV some 20+ years ago. Chilling!
This content is so great, I just wish they were like 3 times longer so I could miss something important or what have you because I got lost in the nostalgia. Again, I absolutely love this and will happilty take what we get but if this was and hour I would plan elaborate deep fried meals to consume alongside them! The picks of games so far has also been so relatable to my own either by force, or convenience, or choice history of weird or obscure games that due to circumstanse got a lot of miles from me! Keep it up GB! Can not wait for Jess, Lucy, Jason and ... Dannys own... please add more folks to this. I would pay more for seeing 1 hour plus of what game, did what to who for a lot of people in the extended GB universe. Like when we got to hear Brad purr when Dave Lang described developing Wrestlinggames for the N64. I became a man that day.
This was so good, and probably the first time I actually did not miss the less tangible synergy that comes with beeing in a room together and messing around with old games and such.
