I have a FAT ps3 and to be honest i couldnt care about this feature..... I and majority of the consumers purchased a ps3 for entertainment and dont see how this could hurt anyone but piracy. hopefully sony will keep piracy away for atleast the ps3 console lifecycle.
@jakob187: VSS dosnt have a suitable amount of ammunition to be run and gunning is a better mid range sniping gun providing you play on hardcore mode. Its weak but its silienced :l the damage in regular games is too minimal to be effective

I used it all the time until I unlocked the laser guided launcher.... either way I can drop choppers and ground vehicles with ease. I would keep a tracer on but majority of the time i end up tracing some shit and everyone is recon or medic and the engineers just decide not to use their rocket launchers, therefor I finish the job myself. After years of battlefield games it is hard to see how people dont understand the concept of team play
PS instead of you people tagging your own snipers why dont you try tagging enemy snipers and hitting them with rockets at 150m+. Its quite rewarding and not difficult to do seeing as they dont move and tracers have 0 bullet drop :)
