Negligent, negligent is the lack of Portal and Mirror's Edge comparison. Stark modernist white spaces, high velocity first person ...

Top 10 Games of Games

Because I was actually forgetting this list.

List items

  • I think this actually will flit between two and four depending on my mood.

  • Wait is there a desert theme going on here?

  • I always neglect to recall how what little of this game is great. Hell, is "The Entertainment" in the wiki? There should probably be a separate spot just for "The Entertainment".

Addendum: This could be the most highbrow videogame ever made. What? Ken Levine, your creating worlds to analyze antiquated American philosophies that seem uncomfortably topical in today's world? Not good enough! KRZ draws inspiration from classic American literature and theater and is better about telling a thematically consistent story then you've ever been. Show me where you made a Marquez reference Levine.

  • The explanation here is that I studied Renaissance art history a year after this game came out and realized everything about it was brilliant.

  • And this was my favorite game years before Yahtzee announced it on his top 5 list.

  • No, guess not.

  • If nothing else I first heard The Menahan Street Band through Sleeping Dogs and there's yet to be game that's had as big an effect on my taste in music as that discovery.

  • I'll be completely honest. I only watched the Persona 4: Endurance Run. But this game! Every time I recollect what happens in this game I'm struck by how deep it's story is and it's great.

  • Probably will be removed. Deserts!

  • The cup runneth over and I realize the sweet moments I had while playing this game. The pilot was never part of our squad. If he was who would fly the transport once we were gone? Insertion would lead to the quickest point capture. I was a selfish squad leader with a bad preference toward walking toward locations. Trips that would take seconds in a car were minutes as we walked to the next point While the micro-battle with I had going with the commander to try and get reasonable orders took place. Inevitably a tank (or walker, God I miss walkers) would happen. Other players played classes that had something to deal with tanks. I was your medic, I kept you alive when a single tank shell knocked out the rest of the squad. I had a proto-marksman rifle to extend our arms length when snipers were still lone wolves. You had RPGs or explosives. I'm still exceptionally good at hiding from tanks. Defibrillator, Bzzzt. Get up, put a rocket in that thing, points just past this wall. Die, rinse, repeat, someone put a spawn point on the enemy titan.

  • Space reserved for when Sunless Sea outdoes KRZ in obscure references to things I like. I see your Jeeves and Wooster references!
