Having recently played through MGS 2, 3, and 4, I agree that the major theme is repetition. This is made painfully clear by the audio design (constant rooster and cash register sounds) of the first stages in MGS 4. Shortened or lost memories, and the desire to emulate the previous generation also seem to be themes related to the continuation of war. Perhaps the character that evolves the most through the series is Metal Gear itself.
The PS5 stand seemed fine in the vertical position with the screw. The screw-less horizontal position is barely adequate, even if you aren't plugging in cables constantly.
