I'll try and keep this as short and concise as I can to save becoming a voice lost in the void. But when they announced they would be getting contractors I was hoping for a lot of curated edited gaming content. Pure and simple, 20 minute video essays or other fun content pertaining to video games in some way, ala Guilty Treasures/Hot Takeouts (have yet to watch this but this sounds like the exact thing I want). That coinciding with regular GB video stuff, Quick Looks, UPF, Endurance Run-style show. I had thought about channels like Game Maker's Toolkit, New Frame Plus, Super Eyepatch Wolf and their style of content being the direction GB would go in, and maybe trying to involve some staff members to be in the shows. Grubbsnax also adds more journalism to the site which I really enjoy. Also, I'd like the contractors to be more involved with the GB staff, similar to how Danny is, or how Jeff Grubb was a guest for a podcast. Feels more like a cohesive website that way.

I'm not against another long form podcast-type show here or there, and I'm not against them delving into non gaming related content, but I have a limited amount of time in my week to be listening to some podcasts and if the topic isn't that interesting to me or there is a barrier of entry, the personalities on the podcast aren't going to sway me to watch/listen more. The first shows they announced here made me really happy and I loved all 3 of them, and that was the direction I was expecting.

Essentially: This staff making shows with contractors about video games in an edited and focussed format, along side the weekly UPF, Bombcast and Quick Looks.

I have filled the void with 'A More Civilised Age' which was the podcast Austin mentioned during the final Beastcast, it is for the Star Wars people out there as it covers The prequels and The Clone Wars. I know that the prequels are unpopular with majority Star Wars fans, but as someone who has never watched The Clone Wars TV show this podcast is really great for the watch a long aspect, it's smart and funny and everyone on it is delightful.

When it comes to video games specifically, I'm going to echo everyone else with the Fire Escape Pod. Like some others here, I also don't know if I love it, but I definitely like it, so that's enough for me. It also helps that it is very long, definitely a lot to listen too.
