@voidburger: lol don't need to be so hung up on the history thing, I mentioned a small thing an hour from you, was just pointing out some neat things to help you change your mind about the area since you're such a bummer about it. Don't need to even go far, there's a cool locally owned games store in downtown Champaign called Live Action Games with a cool craft beer bar right across the street, I've had a great time at those places.
I'm sorry you didn't choose to live here, hopefully your husband dude finds a job at a different studio sometime soon and you can move out of the hell that is my home. Fortunately I've known a few guys from Volition and they're all in way bigger cities now, so good fortune upon you two.
@voidburger: that's really sad that the one thing you can come up with is "it's cheap". I'm sorry if I'm being abrasive but honestly I was just really excited to have a little Midwest representation because all I ever seem to hear is people shit on the the region, so it's really disappointing that you've just gotta be so pretentious about it, I'm sorry we aren't some sprawling metropolis full of delis whatever the heck else you require. I actually really enjoy the rest of your contributions to the website but you may have singlehandedly just convinced me to place my time and money elsewhere, it's as if you refuse to experience and enjoy something new just because "ew this isn't New Jersey", I like where I'm from and it's history.

There's so much in and around Champaign to do, Springfield has all kinds of Lincoln history, there's state parks galore all around here. But sure, it's cheap to live here and everything else sucks!

@johnyr: well when they made a huge deal out of it a month or two ago, it seems a little hypocritical when a similar guest is invited on so people are a little rightfully upset
@humanity: definitely. My guess is she wants to do more of her youtube stuff? I'm not sure those ever reached a view count to justify an office space though.
