The first time I watched this movie as a kid, I was wondering if it was like a copyright-free sequel to the TV sitcom Bewitched. You know... witch woman marries a mortal man. Tries to give up witchcraft and live a 'normal' life. Has a mother who rather enjoys being a witch and tries to drag her back into the job.
Also, I'm not sure what combination of 'quiet' and 'loud' I picked, but my version of this party went *off the rails*. The part I remember best is Garrus and Zaeed getting drunk enough that they were convinced they were going to get ambushed, and started building booby traps in the apartment.
I enjoy all the little nods this DLC makes. Pre-ME2, there were character reveal trailers on youtube. Jack got one that was very over-the-top and edgelordy, in which she asks the camera, "Now who's the badass biotic, bitch?" It got mocked a lot, as I recall.
So of course they bring the line back in a wholesome context when Jack is playing with her dog. XD
It makes me so happy that Jack found a place she belonged, outside of the constant warfare of the Normandy crew. She had a terrible childhood and channeled it into making a better life for the kids she's teaching. :)
So, funny thing about the weight/power speed system. I was playing Vanguard, and the powers were so much more useful than the weaponry that I almost immediately stripped down to a single shotgun and jettisoned everything else. Then later I switched to an Asari shotgun that was super-light, for even less weight. I rolled with +100% power regen for the entire game. I think even later, after upgrades, I might have added a sniper rifle for the rare cases when I didn't want to get close. (Like those Banshees that absolutely murder you if you get too close!) Even then, the shotgun was pretty useless, since melee attacks were almost always better at the same range.
Vinny, I think Alex was a little confused with the powers in this one. The incindiary bullets are a toggle that power up your weapons. He was hitting the button and expecting Vega to perform an attack. Might want to remap the button to an attack. (Or it won't matter, since I doubt Vega is going to see much action now that we've got other crewmembers)
I think that, unless you're a soldier, you probably don't wanna carry more than 3 guns early on? I think 2 was what *I* generally did, but the weight talents I think makes 3+ more viable (unless you take REALLY heavy guns). It's been a minute since I've played, however.
EDIT: Wait a sec, did he lose Daniels and Donnelly? I'm gonna have to double check the old stuff. He didn't lose Chakwas. Hmm.
As far as I remember, they did survive, but you have to do something first, before they return to the ship. Now that Shepshep has Specter status again, she can clear them of the whole 'Worked for Cerberus' thing that's keeping them for working for the Alliance Military.
I'm curious in what order you're planning on doing the regular missions and the DLC. Obviously, do From the Ashes as soon as possible. Personally, I'd recommend saving the Citadel DLC until very, very late, just so you have something good to finish the series out on.
Hey Vinny! I faced a similar problem getting that same oil back to base, and what I ended up doing was building a road south over the water, avoiding all the hills and monsters. Then, later, after I got trains working, that road was a perfect place to put the tracks on. Cheers!
