I feel that the primary joke is that the Apocalypse is coming as a result of the Nintendo conference. The Nintendogs joke is more of a secondary joke in my mind.

Kinda funny. A lot of buildup for a joke that not everyone will appreciate, though.

lol I was also pleasantly surprised by Nintendo's awesome press conference. It was just simply game after game after game after game -OH WAIT!? 3DS!? Launching with like 30 good games!? I <3 Nintendo now.
