Gears of war was last years ultimate game of the year for the 25th annual golden joystick awards and no wonder. It's not really like they had any competition. Well sure there was god of war and guitar hero but they didnt quite match up. GOW did'nt have any groundbreaking storyline in the game, but that's because epic games did'nt show it. There was obviously a big confusing storyline no one really understood. Kind of like Halo until they realeased the novels. Same goes for gears of war the novel...
