I love fighting games, always have and probably always will. Unfortunately my life does not afford me a lot of free time to get half way decent. Still, I wanted to make a list of the fighting games that I currently play and try to improve at, as well as the ones that are coming out in the near future that I plan to do the same with.
Been on a MvC3 kick lately, can't wait to play as Frank West.
My main game at the moment. I love how unique each character feels, the "looser" mechanics for combos, and its just a hell of a time.
I'm not knowledgable enough to have any beef with Arcade Edition so I'll remain in a blissful ignorance. Street Fighter 2 was one of the first games I remember obsessing about and I play 4 quite a bit.
It's definitely a fighting game, although a loose interpretation of the standard genre conventions. Maybe and likely, that's what makes it so great.
Any game where I can play as a giant bear is OK with me.
I still really like Soul Calibur, even if nobody in the world plays this online anymore. Kind of ruins the experience.

Designer has some pedigree and it looks fun as hell.
Why not, I remember VF2.
