Some of you probably know me as the dude that makes beer for the GB crew, or the dude that posts about beer all the time - regardless, I am stepping up my beer game over the next few weeks and am starting a weekly podcast about all things beer. Although I am a big homebrewer, I don't plan on sticking to homebrew discussion. Instead, I'll be talking about beer styles, tasting beers on air, answering questions, and whatever else I can come up with. The bottom line, though, is that I am just another community member like you all. I had some great conversations with users at PAX East about brewing and beer, and want to continue that conversation - but I can't do it without your help.

I'd seriously like to ask a question or two about brewing, but I realized I know nothing about the subject - save what I've read on a few posts about brewing kits that have gone on sale at Woot. The idea of purchasing or using what is basically a plastic tub makes me sad. I'll have to listen in and see if maybe it gets me thinking about anything, but I'm excited about having a new podcast to listen to in the near future.

@Toxeia: If you are the one that dropped that question to my formspring, I will definitely be answering it. Some serious misconceptions about those kits!

@Brewmaster_Andy: I was gonna, but it asked me to sign up for an account. =( I'm lazy. But I'm glad to hear someone else asked about them, or by some voodoo it went through anyway.

Kinda said to myself a few times that I would never drink Alcohol, but this actually sounds interesting. Even though I don't want any of the drink, I've always been interested in the way it's made of other things. Count me as someone who will check this out.

Cool, I'll for sure check it out. I've always been interested in making my own beer and wine but have never really looked into it much.

I am down for this. I hope you give out some newbie tips. I would really like to brew myself but find the internet to be overwhelming with all of the different information out there. I did one of those Mr.beer kits i got as a gift and it was...OK. Would love to actually get into the brewing process though.

I would totally listen to this. I have done home beer and wine making in the past and would love to listen to a podcast like this.

@nick_verissimo: There are a few podcasts out there that deal with homebrewing, but most of them aren't very beginner-friendly. I am coordinating with Joey, and hopefully we will get something to you all soon!

I will definitely check it out when it's done. I look forward to it. I have been looking for somethign similar to this for a while now.
