So many of those pop-ups come up that I think my eyes just glazed over. I would see those as the plants being ready or new investigations or the trailraider thing being done or part of the huge list of players joining the session and not even read them anymore.

Now I'll look the "ecological" header when I come back.

O'my god! Thank you... That little guy sitting on a pile of books. I just talked to him and a full page 3 pages of monsters leveled up 3x.

I couldn't find it in any of the tutorials or anything.

If each character didn't have two pages of text everything time you want to talk to them for anything I might not have missed this info.

Is anyone else still at level 0?

The only monster above 0 is the Great jagras, it's at level 1. On the Jagras I also get a "Physiology" tab which is what I want with the other monsters. I've seen videos of people online with several (maybe 4) tabs of info.

I wanted to get it on the XoneX so bad but I figured the player base would be small. How has it been?

Late nights are filled with Japanese players on PS4, how has late night been on Live?

I've got 200 hours into Monster Hunter World with all monster's up to Diablos "research lv" bar full but only on level 0. I do investigations over and over, capture, kill and track every footprint...

Can someone please tell me how to level up the field guide? I would like to finally know monsters weaknesses without having to search online every time.

I am also wearing all gear that helps with scoutflies including the charm, helm, and waist thing.

Also, nothing ever comes up in search for this. I can't figure out how to properly word my search to get any good answers. I'm thinking my game is glitched as no one else seems to be stuck on this.

I 1000% agree with you. And your complete comment here is absolutely valid. I was actually just seeing more comments on YouTube and had a twinge of empathy about being bullied in school. You used my comment as a point of reference to make a little jab and I was just feeling the need to say something regarding that.

I really, really hope that the discussions improve next year. I cannot express how just how much I disliked this years discussion.

There are so many issues with this year outside of gaming and much of this debate actually tied in to that as well. At the end of the day, I know that we are making jabs at a kid. I'm 38 years old and to be picking on a fresh college graduate for failing to understand the actual depth these discusion can delve into right out of the gate might be expecting too much. I hate that, but I would rather give encouragement and hope for the best.

@humanity:I saw your comment a while ago and had a little laugh but not much to say.

I'm doing some things around the house today and listening to the GOTY debate for the second time. Hearing Abby's debate really irks me.

Each year I have listened to a game I love be pushed around on the list and never actually been annoyed. There have also been games that I totally don't get like PUBG and Mario Maker. In each case, a well-articulated, informed argument has always been made for why someone loved a game.

Abby, in my opinion, fell short of getting her message across to me. Is that her fault or responsibility? No. For these debates, she only needs to convince people in the room.

If you read this far I want you to know that I really, REALLY, have zero interest in Dream Daddy and don’t feel it is fair to compare it directly to other core games. You can’t debate controls, level design, world navigation, or many other aspects discussed throughout the closing portion of the GOTY discussions.

I was brought to tears (more like cutting onion teary) when the group started talking about the music from Nier. I was so happy to hear from a group I really respect just how impactful it was to them. Shit has not been easy this last year with my wife and I struggling to get pregnant and Nier is the only game that has distracted me all year. I fell in love. And honestly, I thought 2B was hot and blew her skirt off every time I loaded a save. Heck, I think I jumped in the water with 2B once and when she walked out with a glistening butt I ran to the room to see my wife and… By the way, we are pregnant now! It sucked hearing the non-argument against Neir.

Having said that, who the fuck cares?

Why don’t you call in to the podcast or after-show next time and debate Jeff on something he hates. You try to do that live and recorded for everyone to over-analyze. Then sit back and enjoy the comments. That feeling you get inside; you can use it next time someone fails to meet your standards and you must let the world know.

Try to express some empathy. Criticize all you want. That’s what this whole fucking site is. Well, it’s mostly just doing stupid shit and checking out game stuff but critiques are absolutely allowed.

This is extreme overkill for your little comment. I know. All the comments I read today just finally hit me. This message is for all the people doing exactly what they are criticizing Abby for. Repeating the same words and offering very little to move the conversation forward. But that is just my opinion.

The opening village has a library. It's the same one you visit in one the endings to Nier Automata.

I'm looking forward to seeing many more connections. I'm just playing on easy to get through quickly as it doesn't seem to restrict story behind difficulty.

I actually went through the build process for the cutting board too. I wish I knew what the "high temp" martial was. It looks like it might be kinda' "slick" or good for a mouse-pad free mouse.
