Great first episode, but it left me really curious... Did Jeff try the remake or anything else in the series, or was Target Earth a kind of singular experience for him?

Wow, yeah, the audio is phenomenally worse than usual. That's sort of stunning with Skype.

@steveurkel: I have, in fact, played Valhalla. I'm glad that you're enjoying it! I'm finding the gameplay loop unmotivating and the combat over-simple. Loved Origins (50+ hours). Loved Odyssey (100+ hours). But after 25 hours I'm getting real bored with Valhalla. It feels regressive in plot and gameplay, with steps forward in some areas which are counteracted by other steps backward. It's not at allbad, it's just... uninspiring. Actually, the side quests are kinda pretty bad but at least they're brief!

I'm a huge fan of Odyssey, and Immortals coming from the same studio (the Atlantis DLC is almost a prototype for some of the things happening here) set in a Greek world definitely piqued my interest. But, holy shit, the characters in this game really don't shut up. And what they have to say isn't very interesting. Though, the combat looks more interesting than Valhalla's by a country mile.

Maybe I'll wait until next year when it hits Steam at a discount.

I still miss the Batman-style of gameplay.
