Top 5 Most Anticipated Games From E309

Metal Gear Solid: Rising

Although there was no gameplay to be shown at E3 a new Metal Gear Solid starring Raiden is all I needed to see. My one concern is that this game turns out to play like a God of War. The last thing I want to see in a Metal Gear game is mindless button mashing and no stealth. Regardless it’s a new Metal Gear game coming to the 360 and that alone qualifies it in my top five.

Halo 3: ODST

New campaign, cooperative mode, and hopefully some fun multiplayer maps and there goes another 40+ hours of

my life down the drain . . . again. I still believe to this date that Halo 3 offers the best online experience you can get on any console so it’s no surprise why I’m so hyped to get a copy of ODST. The new single player looks a lot more tactical and fun then the previous games and the cooperative feature is sure to be as addicting as ever.

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves

Although I haven’t played the original game, Uncharted 2 is currently looking like the must buy title for all PS3

owners this year. The game looks absolutely stunning from the amazing animations and physics to the drop dead gorgeous graphics. Add in some tactical gameplay, fun multiplayer, and a cooperative mode, and you got yourself a serous contender for game of the year.

The Last Guardian

Shadow of the Colossus is probably one of the best games I’ve ever played. Ever. When I got a first glimpse of Team Ico’s new game The Last Guardian my draw dropped. What looks to be like a compelling story of a young boy and his colossus pet had me hooked the second I saw that trailer. The art style is brilliant and the characters look almost life like. Although details about the game are very unclear at this point one thing we know for certain is its from the makers of Shadow of the Colossus!

Mass Effect 2

Mass Effect 2 looks to improve on everything its predecessors lacked; better frame rate, improved combat, more planets, and new features. The combat has been improved tremendously from the looks of things and the story promises to be much darker then the first. If Bioware can deliver on everything it promises Mass Effect 2 could possible be one of the best games of all time. If only we could carry over our level from the first game!
