Be less fat, get some sneakers, or get some tramping boots (amazingly comfortable).

I'd advise not wearing a trench coat with boots though, as it makes you look like a serial killer.

In fact, don't wear a trench coat at all.

Where else would you keep sweets to give to kids though? Although I suppose in the interest of not looking like a Doctor Who cosplay with a trench coat and walking shoes...

But hey, the insoles thing, that hadn't occurred to me. Thanks @Soap

Keep the suggestions coming though because it might just be I'm a lazy fuck

Ok so I'm going to be at Gamescom for like 5 days straight in a few weeks, and I'm wondering about my feet situation.

I usually wear skate shoes because I'm apparently stuck in 2004, and walking around for about 4-5 hours is enough to get my hoofs aching.

Any of you guys regular con goers (or just stand a lot) and have any protips about footwear? Or do I just need to man up?

Yeah there's been a lot of false reporting on this. This story and Game Informer are the only ones that have put it into the right perspective. "
The article on Gamasutra is perfectly fine, and the one on Ars Technica is factually accurate, if not a bit loaded. But why shouldn't it be? This is ridiculous! "
Oh of course, sir, it most certainly is. Whole situation is.

I'm just a touch facepalming over some websites originally reporting the "end of may" comment by Sony last week as part of "PSN back online starting this week" and only just making it a big thing now because someone reminded them of it.
