@killdave: No not correct you again are only basing your "theory" on Microsoft not across all platforms. PC sale are never released (and if on the slim chance they are Steam or and direct to drive system is not factored in) so again you base everything off of a Microsoft run blog along with random Wikipedia articles. Also as for the Unique User data you would never acess to that data so where are you figuring this. If it is yet again figured from a Microsoft blog you have no merit to what you say or what you "belive" please stop posting.
@killdave: Yeah on previous game with Halo # have you looked at the performance of Halo Wars? From what I heard on "the streets" no one liked Halo Wars and felt that it was a lackluster Halo game meaning that Halo ODST is going into there release with a bad taste in the mouth. Where as Call of Duty has performed well for the pass two years, plus Halo ODST is just a spin off where Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is a main stable of the franchise. This really goes back to your first point "Halo ODST will scare off Modern Warfare 2" no it will not. The game is main title and is Activision biggest release for this winter. There is no way in hell that Modern Warfare 2 will be delayed by Activision and to assume this game will be SCARED by ODST is a falsehood and just the thinking of warped fanboy.
@killdave: I never argued that Major Nelson was not a viable source instead I am argue that your are only calculating one statistic in a more massive statistic calculation.
@killdave: Your facts sir are just wrong. Your are only comparing one stat from one blog (that we should add is a MICROSOFT centric blog) you are comparing other system to this statistic and as such your argument does not hold water.
@killdave: Your argument is seriously flawed. To compare a first rate franchise like Call of Duty Modern Warfare to a second rate Halo game is just foolish. You sir have a seriously warped view of the world if you believe this.
@killdave: While Halo 3 was successful game it still can not compete with Call of Duty 4 when released. One is a platform exclusive while the other is a muti-platform game and as such would sell more overtime. Plus Modern Warfare 2 is one of Activision's main staples this season as therefore it would be highly unlikly that Activision would allow the game to be delayed.
