I am not completely sure if this is the right forum but couldn't find one for Giantbomb TV.
Anyway, as you may new, there is text at the top with the timer for next poll and the played video, I love that but the problem is that it makes me uneasy to keep the stream going for so long that might lead to some burn-in (OLED and Plasma TV) as some videos are very long.
I was wondering if you could move those from time to time or make them appear every N minutes. It would be nice to not have worry about it.
@edgeworks question, when using the giant buddy app, do you count as a video play every time the same video is stopped and played again?
Note that my use case is to play videos while riding the subway and I manually stop it when transferring out it just stops between stations from time to time.
Same at home, I play and stop it several times or switch to Chromecast if there TV is available.
I'm just running out of api calls. For example yesterday I wanted to watch the new metal gear video but no luck so far, getting the error video.
Same here, cannot watch any virus using the giant buddy app in Android. Already hit the limit of 20 and I have been trying to watch the new metal gear scanlon video. It's maddening.
I use Pocket Casts and I use https URLs to retrieve the premium content as I don't want to send my password in plaintext.
The problem is that all the artwork is the same for Premium content (Giant Bomb logo) which makes it very difficult to distinguish. Note that using http works fine.
Is it possible to also add the specific artwork for the HTTPS feeds?
Hello, since around 2 weeks ago I have experienced problems while streaming content to my Chromecast. The content will just stop streaming, I have to stop/start it and even sometimes it won't come back, I have to switch quality. Note that I experience the same issues choosing Mobile or HD as the stream quality.
I am located in Japan and my internet service is 250Mbps.
I have used the Giant Buddy App for Android for a year or so without any problems.
Initially I thought it was my Chromecast device or Internet but the thing is that it works good for other services (Hulu, Netflix, YouTube). I tried to workaround by looking at the Quick Looks on YouTube + Chromecast but of course I cannot do the same for premium content and it is very frustrating. When I am working on my PC I actually cast a Chrome tab playing the premium content and that works fine.
If you need more details to fix this issue, please let me know.
