Hey guys,

Based on my knowledge and what I've heard, real estate pays out way more money than the cabaret BUT the cabaret is giving you money every time you play the mini game which (assuming you continue obtaining new girls) can be done over and over. The cabaret also gives you a huge payout after defeating one of the other five clubs.

Now later on (this is the smallest of spoilers) you'll be given a way to exchange money between Kiryu and Majima. My advice is this: continue the narrative and when you're Majima again put in work at the cabaret. The mini game can be done relatively fast compared to the real estate. I promise you won't lock yourself out of progress. You'll know when you've hit the end game and won't have access to side stories and mini games again.

Don't sweat "missing" stuff. You've hit a lot of great content just wandering about and I think that's more satisfying than actively looking for things. Great episode as always!

Ok guys, this is my favorite of the two business mini games because it has a more interesting narrative as you go along and take on the Five Stars, gives you a ton of money, and is super fun. Lemme give you the run down on how this goes (it is infinitely easier than you'd think!):

1. The attributes for each girl (cute, sexy, funny, etc.) are ranked by the symbols. In order from HIGHEST to LOWEST= Double O, O, triangle, X.

2. The HP for each girl is basically a stamina stat. While they are working, their HP drains with every client they work in a single shift. You'll notice when you highlight a table that you'll see that the customer prefers either short sessions or long sessions. Girls with high HP will be able to handle those longer sessions while girls with less HP will be better off in shorter sessions. PAY ATTENTION TO HP! Girls after a night finishes will have their moods changed based on how high or low their HP gets. Girls with the pink happy face will do very well the following night, while girls with a frowny face need a night off to recover. If you push the girls too hard, they can even call off and be unavailable to work.

3. How to pick a girl for a table is very simple: first check to see if they want a short or a long session so you don't get a girl with low HP at a "long conversation" table. Second, simply cycle through the girls and see the smiley face on the table to know if the girl is the best match or not. You obviously want to make sure that your richest clients are getting the best girls or the most happiness out of their girls, so shuffle them around if needed.

4. When using fever mode you wanna wait until tables are mostly filled, or you got a good group of rich or mega-rich folks in (of course you won't see those guys until later on in the mini game). Fever mode boosts the moods of tables to the highest level (:D face) and THOSE customers are more likely to stay for an extended session.

5. ALWAYS help girls in trouble to get their HP to recover a bit, and there is really NEVER a reason to buy customers a gift.

6. You wanna have a full roster at all times to accommodate a steady-busy flow of customers and turn more tables.

7. Finally, train your platinum girls! Eventually you'll reach the "end" of their training during which you'll get an amusing little story bit with each girl which is akin to the subplots you've been playing.

Hope this helps! It is a fun mini game and it gives you a TON of money too.

I'm still very new to GB though I've dabbled here and there for a long time before getting a membership. Metal Gear Scanlon was what made me get a sub to the site; consumed the entire thing on a huge binge after beating the series (five was not out yet) for the first time ever just days prior. As a longtime GI fan, Dan and Jason brought me here but Drew is a large part of why I subbed. With all of the changes here, Tim's departure at GI, Liam leaving SBF (with Matt's hiatus) and NOW DREW LEAVING I've felt much like a child caught in a nasty divorce haha. Going to miss you a ton, Drew, but thank you for the laughs while you were here! At least you are immortalized now as a meme.

Hi guys! Great episode per usual. You're in the thick of what makes the game great now, haha.

Since the game does a poor job of pointing this out to you, I'd suggest visiting the CP shrine/temple. It is a yellow-colored store on your map-if you hover over it, you'll see a description mentioning CP that will make it clear you found the place (and once you get there you'll see an interesting guy). You can exchange the CP points that keep popping up for perks there. Some are tied to sprinting stamina, which Dan was asking about upgrading in this episode.

Slot car racing is mostly about upgrading parts and such. There is a store in the building you can buy parts from, but also check stores out in the wild for them too. You're basically trying to build the best car for each race, it's as simple as that. And yeah, boost later next time!

Some moves for each style are locked by side quests, specifically two large mini-game subplots that open later on. To get everything, you're gonna have to do some serious digging so I wouldn't sweat it TOO much. Maybe just focus in on learning the moves from each of the three trainers (pier chick is one, punchout dude is another and the third one you'll find naturally in the story progression) but bear in mind you have to have so many unlocked with money and other things before you can learn new moves.

Also right by that phone booth is a shiny! The phone cards are collectibles, but will eventually pay out in some....interesting ways. A fun little thing: flip to the back of the book next time you pull it up :P

Hey guys! Great episode lol I love your enthusiasm for the game. Just beat it myself over the weekend so watching others go through the insanity is super satisfying.

Some tips I have to offer you guys:

- Heat moves are triggered by pressing triangle, but for most of them I believe you need to make sure you're standing still. Triangle is also your strong attack so if you're running or moving that's what will happen over the heat move. I think that's where some of the mistakes are coming in re: triggering the heat moves. Most heat moves are associated with the unlockable skills, picking up objects, etc. but there isn't a Sleeping Dogs-esqe system with environmental stuff.

-DO. NOT. TRY. MAJONG. I'll spare you that now. It is more complicated than Shogi and Dan will have absolutely no attention span or patience for it, so seriously, SERIOUSLY stay away.

-Don't worry excessively about skipping subplots (the side quests), as most of them you'll naturally encounter just running about. They'll begin after resting at the apartment and I don't believe any of them lock out. Keep in mind some of these quests are tied to store clerks, restaurant employees, and the minigames. These quests require you to build a "friendship meter" that eventually leads to an ending event. So while yes you wanna run around, there's incentive to do the mini game stuff also.

-Mr. Shakedown is definitely not someone to mess with this early in the game. You can easily avoid him though when you see him on the map (has the amount of money he's carrying over his head). Also YES you can sprint: hold down X. It is tied to a stamina meter not visible. You can avoid some random encounters this way.

-A quick head's up regarding your inventory: items don't stack. So when you buy say four of an item it fills four slots.

Can't wait until the next episode!

Oh man oh man, this was such a joy to watch! Glad you guys figured out the saving, because I didn't realize there was no autosave and I lost chapter one after completing it once.

I believe I've seen people finishing the game clocking in around 45-some hours without putting too much time into the side stuff. Two of the minigames have stalled my progress entirely because they're pretty addicting! Hopefully you guys find a natural balance of giving things a go and progressing the story along.

My only advice is that you guys stick to the brawler style for the most part, for no reason other than I KNOW you'll love the environmental heat moves. If you can pick a thing up, it can be used in a cool heat move. Also, though at a glance you might not anticipate it, the story in this game is SUPER STRONG. It took me by surprise, so I hope it does you guys as well but in case dialogue is getting skipped too fast I highly suggest waiting to skip until after someone is done speaking. Hope you guys keep having fun!
