Watching Brad play Battleborne and hearing Dan rattle on about Overwatch and the occasional reference to Paragons makes me wonder if no-one on the Giant Bomb crew has heard about or put hands on Paladins yet. The complete lack of discussion about it when they talk about these games is kind of weird.

As someone that plays MtG both Standard and Modern relatively competitively in addition to other more minor TCGs I have to say I'm saddened by this. A big promise available in the format of a wholly digital TCG is not only the unique mechanics that Hearthstone uses (Bolvar Fodragon, any of the shredders, etc) is that it presented a TCG that the designers could tweak as necessary to maintain a healthy and balanced game. They've presented this in the past with changes to various cards and I'd hoped that would be the model moving forward, it was a simple but effective way to keep an eternal card pool and to keep the meta from getting stagnant and a way to quash problem combos quickly and easily. A lot of that promise and potential of a digital TCG model is now lost with this change in direction.

I cannot in good conscience support this sickening pro-machine propaganda. Humanity first.
