@garwalk: I played this game as if the Universe was ending, just going from main plot point to main plot point, which is probably why I don't remember most of it.
@hermes: That's amazing to me as I have such clear memories of 1&2. Maybe its because the first time I played these games was on the trilogy collection over a Christmas break. I think I rushed through 3 before it was time to go back to work.
So it must be possible to just entirely skip this bit of the game right? Because I certainly never saw Thane die or got the chance to shoot Ashley (I'm assuming that is the renegade option Alex missed) And I swear I've never seen that ninja guy before.
I really hated Ashely, I'm liking her a bit more on my current play through as we had a chance to talk out her space racism in ME1. Still I will definitely take the renegade option when I get to this point.
Obviously Kaiden is still such a nothing character.
So different to last week's episode, I can't remember much more about ME3 except for when Tali shows up and the ending.
I do agree with Vinny and Alex that the lack of conversations hurts this game. In the previous games the shooty bang bang stuff was the medicine you had to take before the brilliant conversations. Remember talking to Thane, Mordin and Wrex?
Thank you for posting this, I've only been premium for 6 months. I'm currently watching Backflips and Bioforge and it's so good. Amazing to see that this is Danny O'Dwyer's first time on a GB stream.
The dream sequences were always a pain. But considering where this one comes in the story, Mordin should have been in it, just like Ashley's voice was.
Mordin is still my most favourite character in any video game. I loved debating the ethics of genocide with him in ME2. I talked to him so much he thought I was interested in him.
*Screw FFVII, Aeirth or whatever her name is, was only upsetting because she was my best healer.
@mrsmiley: I've only started watching this entire series since the covid lockdown. In the early episodes of ME 1 they state that they are doing a play through of the original trilogy.
During game of the year '17 Vinny stated he had not even finished Andromeda, remember he has played all of the original trilogy twice.
He compared Andromeda to Crystal Skull ie as far as he is concerned there are only 3 Indiana Jones movies and there are only 3 Mass Effect games.
Thank you. You are spot on about that. I made what I still think was the correct and just call, but god damn what happens after that is still burned into my brain. And I only ever played thru ME3 once.
Playing my way thru ME2 right now. With the lockdown I'm sure I'll catch up to Alex soon enough.
