It's fine, look, you guys have your opinions, I have mine, whether you consider that a flimsy, poor evidence for collusion or not. If you really think there's NOTHING weird at all going on in the games media, well then...never mind. I'm not going to make this thread about GamerGate and I also won't post more in regards to this. I'm just saying there's more out there.

@stryker1121: Wow... are you serious? Coincidence would be a couple man, but 12? Think about it, you're telling me 12 completely different people all decided, on their own, to essentially write the exact same article, the exact same day linking to the exact same blog post? Some of the leaked JournoGamePros emails showed a lot of them (not GiantBomb) talking about how to pissed they were about ZQ's personal life being exposed and how to deal with it and how to respond. Look, you're entitled to your own opinion, but I'm entitled to mine as well. I'm just saying look a little deeper. Am I connecting dots that really aren't there? Some might say that, but if it turns out I'm wrong someday I'm more then willing to admit it.

I'm surprised more of you don't seem to think atleast "something" fishy is going on with the games media these days, but I suppose if you don't dig much, or at all, I guess, then you wouldn't think anything is going on. And don't get me wrong, I don't see GiantBomb as being corrupt or colluding with anyone as I'm well aware when your friends with people.

But currently, video game media as a whole? Come on... I'm not going to get to deep into details here, but what about the day 12 video games media sites all released similar story's that essentially said the same thing (the term gamer is dead), in a 24 hour period, all pointing to the exact same blog post? Is that not collusion? or atleast really, really fishy? Again I'm not implicated GiantBomb in this as I don't think they released an article that day, just saying this as games media as a whole.

I knew I would feel weird and conflicted on Giant Bomb once they made their stance on this topic. Mainly because I'm pro GamerGate (although I've never tweeted in support of it)

Look, over the last few weeks/months I've been labeled a mysogynist, sexist, racist, vile scum, and been told that gamers are dead by video game journalists simply for being a male, specifically a white one, that enjoys games. Now, you can see how that might bother me a bit, seeing as how these were some people I'd looked up to and respected for video game coverage for so long. Look I'm a good, decent person, I've never hurled insults at either side, never sent angry emails, never posted angry or dismisive comments on anyones pages and yet I continuously I painted in broad strokes to look bad, even in Jeff's letter.

GamerGate has its warts, I don't agree with the death threats, I don't agree with the over the board actions of some people (although it is equally bad on both sides and if you don't believe that you should go out and read more, like Anti-GamerGate people actually said GamerGate was worse then ISIS... like come on, wtf) but what I do stand up for with GamerGate is not being attacked by games journalists en masse (the 12 or so "gamers are dead" articles all released in a 24 hour period by prominent video game sites), I do feel like theres some shady behaviour going on with game journalists and their subjects, whether it's a feeling of collusion, wether it's feeling like some journalists are breaking that ethical boundary you're supposed to have etc... Those are the points of GamerGate I support, that's it. And trust me, I've read so many damn articles and watched so many videos on this subject it's started to make my head spin.

Based on that Jeff, I feel your views on GamerGate are skewed or misinformed or just uniformed.I won't say they're and I don't blame you for any of those though, their your opinions and your a good guy, and I have my opinions and I'm a decent person as well, so hopefully by the end of the weekend, my feelings on your letter will blow over and I can go back to enjoying all the awesome videos you guys do.

Also the views and feelings I have in the above paragraph don't neccessarily relate just to GiantBomb as I think you guys do a job of disclosing what developers you're friends with (Lang, Kasavin, Johnny V, Drake, etc..) and do a great job overall, I do feel based on you're stance, which is pretty much going to be the stance from pretty much every games journalist, I do feel like your lumped in with them because of it, sorry =/

Anyway I just this all goes away soon and some resolution actually comes to pass, cheers boys!
