Alright, so, there's a few on here that people would bash me for but then again it IS my list. There's some exclusions of note but I'm putting my list together based on how much they really got to me and well, all these games gave me great experiences in 2009.
Start to finish I was into it. Enthralled by the story and immersed in the world of Nathan Drake, Uncharted 2 was easily the most fun I've had all year.
I played this game with my best friend over the summer and we were literally screaming at the TV due to the sheer awesomeness/ridiculousness occuring every 5 seconds. Compile that with amazing voicework and a fun campaign and you're pretty much set.
Gimme zombies and a cricket bat and I have fun. There's no excuse for people not to have this.
I'm a diehard Beatles fan and I'm buying all of the DLC. Sure, it's just Rock Band but the amount of love poured into this game can be measured in oceans.
Play it. You'll understand.

Wasn't expecting this to hit me as much as it did. I imported it from Japan and had a hell of a time with it at first but found a great story that pulled me in. For a DS gamer, this is essential.
You have an ax, a jetpack, and you're on Mars. What else do I need to explain?
A brilliant remake. Here's hoping Atlus continues to do top-tier work.
A great comic book game that established itself with a different medium as inspiration. Sure it was a little repetitive but the game was FUN.
