1) I'm not crying like a 'little girl', I'm just expressing my anger at issues which damage my experience playing the game. It seems like others are having the same issues. 2) The kill cam is supposed to show what happened in the last few seconds of my life, it must be due to connection because I have had no issues when playing with an Australian host.
Dont get me wrong, I love modern warfare 2. I like to think im not completly hopeless at the multiplayer either. Living in Australia however has forced me to only play this game online if I can find an Australian based server (which is rare).
Nothing makes me crazier than shooting at someone, having them kill me, then watching the kill cam only to see that I never actually fired a bullet. Or stabbing someone, then seeing that I never actually pulled out my knife and only ran into the person in hope of head butting them to death.
Fuck that, dont punish me for living in Australia. Why would you REMOVE local search, I just dont understand, Is Infinity Ward too proud to say that it was a good idea?
" I really wonder what the crew will choose as GOTY, Batman wouldn't surprise me "
I'm guessing they're gonna go with Uncharted 2. "
Yeah I'm betting its going to come down to these two, kind of like MGS4 and GTAIV did last year. It should make for an entertaining GOTY podcast. "
I think that a lot of major sites, including Giantbomb and just going to cast aside Modern Warfare 2. But really, as they should! It didn't really impress me as that game of the year where it was teh big game that blew me away. "
MGS4 should have won last year, I stand by it, that game is amazing I didn't even think of Uncharted 2, also an amazing game. "
Oh, same here. Now GTAIII would have been a fine contender as GotY for 2001, but really I would say Halo: CE would win just because being a first superb console shooter that riveled that of PC's for the first time ever. But as far as GTAIV goes, it just did not hit me that way. Don't get me wrong, I had a hell of a time with it, and it is a very well made game, but.....
The story missed me. I don't know what Jeff meant when he said that the story really hit home.
You are not Russian, Jeff, that is GregK. Were you a heavy drug user saved by a local mexican that loved the spotlight? Were you caught up in the drug wars with a fat crazy bitch? Was a family member of yours (specially your cousin) an idiot that you had to take care of constantly? Did you get dumped by your girlfriend who ended up working for the government? What about working for a crazed/messed up Irish family? Well? Personally none of those situations ever hit home.
So I know that none of the crap that played out in MGS happened to me. But that is not why i loved that game. Obviously, everyone knows the reasons, but man, for most sequels having terrible endings to their stories, Kojima did a hell of a job! "
How about knowing someone who was addicted to drugs or has been in jail? I think thats what he was getting at.
" I had a chuckle to myself earlier this evening remembering them discussing what they tell people they do for a job. Vinny says he always gets asked when getting a hair cut, so Ryan starts playing out the scene Ryan (as Hairdresser): "Oh yeah, my boy, he's got the 'Nintendo Wii' thing" Vinny: "We're really gonna do this?" "
About 6.5 hours in and I'm really digging this game, heaps more than I thought I would. Playing on PS3 as I herd (and saw) that the 360 version looked a little washed out. I've just finished the quest when I had to kill the demon who haunted the kid. However, I cant help but feel that I'm not playing this game properly. Its just me running up to dudes, shield bashing and slashin, with the occasional tatical move or character switch. So my question(s): Is it still too early to have any hardcore tactics in place or should I play differently? Or, is the rest of the game going to be similar to this? (which I love anyway)
