| 140523 | New Game | Game | Nox Archaist is a new computer role-playing game for the Apple II computer, similar in spirit to the original Ultima and Bard's Tale games. The game comes in three different editions - a digital download, a physical boxed set with manual, paper map, and a USB drive, and a collector's edition with the box, manual, a cloth map, and other feelies. The game was funded on Kickstarter, where over 500 backers pledged a total of $42,000. Developed by 6502 Workshop, the game is written in 6502 assembly language, and is playable on either original Apple II hardware or on Mac/PC/Linux using an emulator.
