On consoles it's a mixture of Amazon and Gamestop. For new releases, I'll check to see what Amazon's pre-order deal is, and if there's a launch day delivery option. If what's on tap doesn't tickle my fancy, I just Gamestop it.
 
I just recently put together my first real gaming rig (my last one was when FFXI launched, and it was far from impressive), but I find myself loving Steam. Picked up some cheap oldies, and tomorrow will be basking in my 1st Steam preordered game, Mafia 2.

I'm a serial saver, wanted in three states.  It's as if I don't believe the game just saved, so I do it again.  Don't even get me started on games that let me save anywhere, sheesh. I had just picked up Quake 1 and 2 during the Id sale, and I saved so much during, you'd think it was a reload button.
