I liked most of the puzzles.

There was one later on that I struggled with because I literally missed the puzzle element.

I did it solo over a couple of evenings. The hint system was really good.

I think my favorite ones were the ones where there was a twist and the timer changed.

I also enjoyed how most of the levels did feel like they could be done as an escape room (with a very large budget).

On PC, we are continuing to work on a solution with our partners to allow PC players who own HITMAN 1 or HITMAN 2 to import locations from those games into HITMAN 3 at no

additional cost.

We can guarantee that players will NOT need to repurchase the games.

I'm doubling down on my stance it's Warner - as Hitman 1 is now Officially published by IO Interactive, and if you buy the game on any Store- boom, it's IO Interactive as publisher.

Warner and Epic Games however, only Batman games are on the Epic store, and they were all free-give aways as part of an Event, No Hitman 2, no Shadow of Mordor, no Injustice 2 or Mortal Kombat XL.

There is a chance it's due to Valve not playing nice, but with the trend of Epic buying exclusives, the lesson might be not to trust Valve in the first place, as Epic has been undercutting them on sales due to the Coupons, but the way Valve would likely fight back is letting you "upgrade" Epic games to their Steam versions.

My bet would be Warner Bros Games - the company that sells random loot boxes for single player RPGs, and makes sure every game has a $100 version and will rerelease the game at $60 with the DLC added about 1.5 years later as the safe bet on the company playing mean.

What about Warner Brothers? As they are publisher on record for Steam version of Hitman 2. IO Interactive is publisher of Hitman on Steam/Epic.

What are the odds that this might be Warner Bros wanting their cut?

@bigsocrates: I'm 100% with you on how this game seems to be really into "actually, class systems are good and the Samurai are great." but I do like that you are using supplies to pay for things instead of money, because 1. you are a Samurai and take what you want and 2. Times are desperate and money doesn't keep you alive.

I feel like there would be less people being annoyed with the historical inaccuracies if the game didn't go IT IS 1274 AD! THIS IS A THING THAT HAPPENED. Most samurai films DO NOT give a year for that reason, or try and use real locations. GTA and Yakuza both use NOT REAL cities so that not being accurate isn't immersion breaking. Using Real stuff is a good way to make problems. Like Black Ops 1 had songs and guns in it that did not exist at the time.

I do actually enjoy how the world is kind of empty, but the movement speed is fast enough that you move through the landscape fast enough to get from interesting thing to interesting thing without the world feeling hilariously packed like a lot of open world games. Having a couple hundred yards of NOTHING is nice.

Combat is a bit better than Assassins Creed/Batman combat as the sword can really mess dudes up and you can guard break to do damage/flank hits. It feels like the enemies are playing Dark Souls while you are playing a character action game, and thus are much more powerful.. they still do a lot of damage with hits, which makes combat intense, even though you can block a ton of things and the i-frames on the dodges are hilariously long.

From everything I've seen, it seems like the game didn't come together in the end. You know how there lots of stories of games where they had a ton of different things, and in the end, it all came together, but it didn't seem like it was going to at all until the last moment? Yeah, this is the game that didn't. I hope it doesn't hurt anyone, and that there are no layoffs because the game is a dud.

I don't actually get how this game is so bad. I honestly want to examine it more, as on paper this should be THE SHIT. TF2 style graphics, Twisted Metal with some advancements in aiming, and Call of Duty style leveling/customization..

Yet it manages to be utterly lacking in fun.

I wonder what project they were working on that was canceled?

Also can't decide if shutting it down during GDC is best for the staff, or the worst?

Also I wonder if part of the closure was due to paying rent on the building, in addition to other ones around the bay area?

As I just don't think EA was geing EA, but probably hit a point where they couldn't justify keeping that studio open.

Still sucks for everyone involved and I hope they land on their feet.

@ottoman673: It's one of the worst racing games I've played. The game is somewhat arcadey, but the phyisics and driving model are just NOT FUN, no clue why it doens't have the Drive San Francisco physics model, or one based on any previous Ubisoft game, as it sucks. There are tons of upgrade parts, but they are TOO incremental, as it's nearly impossible to tell the difference, I mean.. maybe if you get far in with a car and then swap it back to lv 1 parts you may feel a difference but while playing it I can't tell anything.

The game loves "chase" missions where are just really tedious as generally you won't be able to touch the car you are chasing until the last 30 seconds as the AI will rubberband it far ahead of you as you slowlllllllyyyy close the distance over the course of 3 minutes.

There is a "reset to road" button that is nearly essential as the physics tend to decide that most accidents should spin your car around 180 degrees, there are tons of times when for seemingly no reason my car is getting very minor airtime and thus can't turn. In fact.. turning is terrible, it's horrible, like the game just has horrible turning even after changing the settings from the default it's still shitty.

Really, it's just worst.

But I rented it from Gamefly so NO REGRETS.

I guess it's time to make a non-shitty knockoff?
