Just finished Kane and Lynch 2 (Spoilers)

First off I'd like to say that I work for Gamestop and one of my benefits as an employee is that I am allowed to borrow a used game for 4 days. Watching Jeff's review of Kane and Lynch 2 (360 version) got me thinking "wow what a perfect game rental", for the game being so short. It was extremely short I thought I was going to get at least 4-5 hours of singleplayer gameplay but I beat it in 3 and a half hours on normal. I've never finished a game worth 60$ in less than 4 hours so that was a first. Now here is my brief thoughts of the game.
Gameplay
The combat was definitely not terrible however it was not great either, there is somewhat of a variety of weapons that you come to expect in a shooter except that the snipers aren't really snipers there more like single shot rifles due to the fact that you can't actually see through the sights of the scope. The shooting works well except when enemies are really far thats when the assault rifles get a bit inaccurate and a "sniper" is needed. Moving on to the cover mechanics, they work as they should I haven't encountered a serious problem with it, when I press the A button the Lynch takes cover where I want him to. I just had a slight problem where he won't get out of cover its that type of game where double clicking A won't set you off cover.Throughout the environment you will find gas containers or fire extinguishers to make up for lack of grenades, Lynch does not throw them to far though, however it doesn't really matter because the fighting is usually in enclosed locations. One major problem I had with this game is that it becomes repetitive as almost all your tasks are the same, go here and shoot some dudes then go there and shoot some more dudes. Missions do not have a lot of variety in them the only different type of action it has is one scene where you are given an LMG and put inside a helicopter to shoot some baddies inside a huge skyscraper, and to be honest it wasn't that bad. Now I will just quickly explain enemy and friendly AI. Kane as your right hand man usually is doing what he's suppose to shooting dudes, however there has been many times where I find him shooting at the wall in front of him where he's taking cover. As for enemy AI they aren't much of a challenge, though I have died a couple of times just be sure not to get close to them cause they can kill you with an instant headshot.
Graphics
The look of the game is extremely unique as there hasn't been a game where it looks like its being filmed by a portable videocamera. The loading screens are actually buffering screens to show as if its some type of online video, why did they implement this type of visual style in this game I have no idea but I liked it. I did not experience the problem that some people did where the whole screen shaking effect made them sick or woozy or something like that. Now the environments is what kinda disappointed me, the beginning levels you move around from apartment to apartment and also a couple of rooftops. The graphics of the environments looked good its just that you end up looking at similar types of areas around you. When you would have to go through the streets of Shanghai I was really convinced I was in the streets of a city because there would be moments where a car would come out of nowhere from a side of the street but there are random roadblocks by some random cars that made me think "where did that car come from?". The helicopter part visually looked bad you almost saw no buildings around you and when you looked down you literally saw nothing but fog, I mean that would be a perfect time to show some great city graphics and lighting!Story
To be honest I did not really care about the story considering the length of the game though I will give you an extremely short summary of it here. Kane and Lynch shoots some dudes daughter I believe. He is a corrupt Politician and has control of some gangs and the police. You spend the entirety of the game being chased down by his men. He then kidnaps Lynch's girlfriend in which he and Kane go and rescue her. They capture Kane and Lynch and torture them however Lynch's girl was killed. Lynch then goes and takes revenge against the corrupted Politician, kills him now he and Kane must escape through an airplane which they do. Once they get in the airplane the game immediately ends. I despised this ending for a 4 hour game you give me this crap of an ending? I believe the developers were just lazy. 4 hours man, and thats just the average time! I beat it in less time. Anyway I do apologize for the lack of story review however there isn't much anyway.Last Remarks
This is just a single player review I haven't touched the multiplayer however I hear its pretty fun. Also sorry for any spelling mistakes, poor grammar, and anything else I might have done wrong in my simple review, this is my first somewhat full review of a game and I'm just giving my thoughts.Emma Watson new hair WTF?

I recently found out that Emma Watson cut her hair? I don't know why this news has become so widespread.
So was this a big mistake on her part, or does she look better with short hair? In my opinion she looks pretty good, however I preferred her hair long.

Kingdom Hearts is still my favorite game franchise, and cannot wait till the third one comes out. When Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days came out I thought that this could be pretty cool knowing the whole story of Roxas and the Organization. Now Birth by Sleep? Well um ok, the prequel to the whole Kingdom Hearts series I wish it wasn't on PSP but whatever. They have to come out with Kingdom Hearts 3 now or a Kingdom Hearts game on a console right? Nope they are doing Kingdom Hearts ReCoded, sigh.

This is now the third consecutive portable Kingdom Hearts game to come out/announced. I'm not to upset about this but I'm just starting to become a little impatient. I purposely bought a DS just for 358/2 Days and I don't wanna fork out another 200$ just for Birth by Sleep. Well I guess I have no choice but to wait (and buy a PSP).
So what do you Kingdom Hearts fans think about ReCoded and where this amazing franchise is going?
Final thoughts on Alan Wake *Spoilers*

Just finished Alan Wake 10 minutes ago, and I must say I was a little confused about the whole ending, but I'll get to that in a little bit.
My thoughts on the game
First thing Graphics are awesome, the lighting is just magnificent however some of the facial structures and body textures were a little off, but nothing to bad.
Now for the story, I loved it the script was amazing it was like you were reading a book. The characters for the most part were memorable and likable(who can't help to like Barry?). The whole story was unique and all the twist and turns really made it a unique experience. As for the gameplay it was fun but I found it a little repetitive by the 3rd or 4th episode, but never to the point were I stopped playing. I still love the cinematic moments you get when you dodge an Axe or when shooting the flare gun hit an enemy in slow motion with great lighting graphics.
Thats just a short summary of how I felt about the game. Now for the ending can someone give me insight to what actually happens in the end, was he dreaming it all? Also what does Alan mean when he says "This isn't a lake its an ocean", Maybe i'm just an idiot but I don't understand what he means by it.

First of all the Ending was awesome and I chose to blow up the Collector ship. Now however, I realize everyone is dead and the only squad members that lived were Garrus, Tali, and Sammara. Should I import this character and start a new game or should I leave it like that and wait for Mass Effect 3? I don't know what to do, I don't wanna replay the game but, now the game is boring cause all my favorite squad members (Miranda) are dead.
Also what did I do wrong to have so many deaths anyway?

I bought Alan Wake a couple of days ago cause I wanted to play a game with an awesome story. The game definitely delivers on the story, however the combat get really repetative. I'm currently on episode 5 can't wait to finish it and hopefully see an amazing ending to a great story.
Do any of you find the combat repetitive but the story great? I'd like to know your thoughts on the game before I complete it.
