Dunno why but for some reason ASMR really gets y'all's goat, and that amuses me. Get it or don't get it, it's not worth the disdain. It's like hating on miniature golf--who does that?
@relkin: I had the opposite experience--I loved the story (it spoke to my own teenage experiences, to a certain degree anyway) but quickly grew bored exploring the house. I was relieved the game didn't drag on too long.
That being said, I could see how the story would be off-putting to someone for whom there is no meaningful context. Hell, if I hadn't enjoyed the story part, I probably wouldn't have bothered finishing the game.
Holy shit, I just noticed that Dream Warriors standee in the background.
I want.
I had the Dream Child standee (Freddy standing over the evil-looking stroller, shushing with his claws) until college. Sadly it didn't survive the trip. :(
Got it from a buddy whose uncle gave it to him, mostly just to get it out of his storage. I guess he worked at a theater at the time the movie came out? Anyway, it still had gum stuck on the back, from moviegoers I guess. I never bothered to remove it. :P
