Top 10 Dissapointing Games

Here is a list of games that dissapointed me completely. I am not saying these games are bad ( Though, obviously, some of them are. ) because some of them I realy enjoyed. But it still stands that these games, are in my mind, a dissapointment.

List items

  • Remember the awesome gameplay, great mood, and the great feeling of badassery that come from playing Devil Mary Cry? Well, none of that was in this awefully dull and boring sequal, that felt more like an insult to fans of the first.

  • I loved Xenosaga so much and I found this sequal to be one of my most anticipated games of my teenager hood ( Is that a phrase? ). I got a lackluster continuation of the first amazingly well told story, and a terribly dumbed down gameplay system. The two disks lead you to think it was a long adventure, it wasn't. Which is probably a good thing in retrospect.

  • The first Rogue Squadron game for the Gamecube was not only my first game for the system, it was my first addiction on that system! Seriously! That game brought to life some of the reasons I loved Star Wars as a kid! It was fun and engaging, and this sequal was not! Those highly touted onfoot mission, BAD IDEA!!!!

  • You know what, I am just going to say it, this game could have been way better. It wasn't because the developer was pretty lazy. Sorry, it's the truth.

  • I actually thought that this game was going to be very cool. I remember hearing the previews prior to release that weren't so hot. Yet, I hoped and prayed it would turn out well...it didn't. Awesome concept, terrible execussion.

  • I played through Brutal Legend and I enjoyed the story and the world of rock that was created. I did not, at all, enjoy the half-hearted RTS gameplay. That I also, didn't even know was going to be in the game. As I thought that this game was going to be a more action-adventure like title, in the same vien of Psychonauts. A superior title from Tim Schafer. I enjoyed the game at times, but I disliked many parts more then liked. Making this worse, I not only couldn't wait for it and have a long and storied history with rock music to fuel that, but I also have loved just about ever Tim Schafer game. So I really thought this was going to be a winner.

  • I loved KOTOR with a passion. Which is very strange because my love of Star Wars has all since died since my childhood. It's when I heard developer BioWare was about to create a whole new universe for the next RPG. I was so excited! Until I finally got my hands on it and began playing. The universe and story was really cool! The gameplay and RPG elements were boring and uninspired.

  • Liked FEAR, and I liked FEAR 2, but it was a major step down and, well, kind of lame in some ways. Still worth playing if you liked the first. Just don't expect an apex.

  • I liked Twilight Princess, merely because, well, it was more Zelda. Maybe that makes me a push over, I don't know. There were some great moments in this game and I loved becoming a wolf, but it's by all means ( At least in my book that is. ) the less memorable of the Zelda games.
