Favorite Games

Hello and welcome to my humble little list of my favorite games. I will add and remove games over time as I see fit.

List items

  • This was a refinement on the core game play of Metal Gear Solid 1, and I think it did a fantastic job. It is incredibly fun to play with the AI, and engage with the stealth mechanics. I still love the earlier and later installments, but this is the favorite for me.

  • Super Metroid is a better version of Metroid in ever single way. Jeff can take his "Metroid is better without a map" and live in a cave with the "Dark Souls doesn't need a map" people.

  • The Sims was a game that I loved playing to see how to AI would react and have fun in that little sandbox, but as the series has continued I've begun to love designing spaces and homes a lot more. Still a great game, with good choices for gender customization so that is nice.

  • Shin Megami Tensei Persona 3 was the first turn-based RPG I played and really enjoyed. I actually enjoyed grinding to see if I could get the appropriate level before hitting the boss while managing the social aspects of the game. Even playing the older versions and the later iterations has been a great experience.

  • I was never a huge fan of the "Souls" games, but Bloodborne really clicked for me, and I think it is a lot to do with the fast paced combat. I always have an urge to play this game.

  • Resident Evil 2 Remake takes what was great about Resident Evil 4 and really drives the atmosphere that was in the original games and it works wonderfully. Updating the mechanics to actual feel fairly tight and easy to use. It's like Bloodborne in that I want to keep coming back to it even though I have no reason to do so.
