C'mon guys. It's obviously just a bit of fun, and it's totally in line with Cayde-6's personality. The sky isn't falling.
This, it's perfectly in line with Nathan Fillion's character in the game and honestly, the game got better after it stopped taking itself so seriously. Just listen to how bored peter dinklage was trying to stoically deliver the lines in vanilla destiny. Northbot's more lighthearted take was in line with the game IMO.
I'm pretty much in this boat. I'm sure we'll get to the actual serious story in the full trailer on the 30th (better be some gameplay footage as well, and can they promise actual worthwhile content at launch?). Honestly, Robo-Fillion is the only character in Destiny lore so far that I could really give a shit about. His lines and scenes are what made the Taken King story bits enjoyable, imo. I'm probably alone in this, but Deadpool wasn't the first thing that came to mind; it's The Flash (specifically Wally West).
Had a fun session with some GB duders; one with me apparently being a bully, and the other, our own teammate trolling us with Symmetra's teleporter (damn you, MisterKay!)
