he Heroes of Might and Magic series is digital crack at it's best, and number three is the most nicely wrapped cigar of the bunch. The Heroes series masterfully combines turn based strategy with RPG and exploration elements, which makes for a pretty special gameplay experience. Number three added a slew of new heroes (each with their own special ability and back story), new factions and new monsters. The game also drifted towards a more "realistic" art style, which followed the series in to its fourth installment. HoMMIII is without doubt the game that I have spent the most time with, and it's still being played regularly today - nearly eight years after its release.
