eye opener

tonight confirmed that I am not the athlete that I once was...and I wasn't a great athlete by any means. outside of bowling and darts, which some will contest are sports, I was never one of THE guys. however, tonight when I fell on my ass making a routine catch in SLOW PITCH softball, it really sunk in.  however, I didn't let that deter me and proceeded to make some decent plays after that.

bowling rules.  put me as the anchor...if the game is on the line and we have a chance to win in the 10th...9 out of 10 times...we win.  hands down.  somewhere I realized I was a better bowler under pressure....go figure.

Rob Zombie and Alice Cooper

played here on Tuesday.  good show.  the acoustics at the local 'arena' are horrible and without a full house the sound just echoed around.  But they did their usual theatrics (I think cooper was executed 4 or 5 times).  The one thing that surprised me was that Alice opened the show.  I expected him to be the closer but then he is of an older time...i am kind of in the middle of both of them.  ears were ringing well into the next day and it took some time for my voice to recover.  if you get a chance to see them on the small tour, I recommend doing so.

Kevin Smith and Scott Mosier

Had the opportunity to see Kevin Smith and Scott Mosier perform 'Live nude Smodcast' on Friday night.  I haven't laughed that hard is sometime.  there have been numerous complaints from people around here.  the show was short (just over an hour) and that he had canceled the 10 show.  I saw that he stated on Twitter that since they don't use a set format when they go out there, anything longer than 75 minutes begins to become long and un-funny.  Kevin Smith also stated that he was a bit too ambitious in booking two shows.  now, whether this was because it was Billings, MT or that they needed to reach San Fransisco by Sunday, I don't know..but I went figuring that since the 10 PM show was canceled they would be a bit longer than normal podcast length...but it wasn't.  And guess, what?  I am okay with that.  they did not need to come to Billings. They could have gone through the a more southern route and played Denver, CO or Casper, WY but they chose to come here.  and for that, I am happy.  now, Tuesday is Alice Cooper and Rob Zombie....my thoughts to come then.
