Like many of you, I was initially upset when I heard about Activision's plans for both their new Battlenet (with no LAN play for Starcraft) and now their new IWnet with no dedicated server support.  However I realised after some thought that there is a connection between this and many of the other things I have been researching over the past year, specifically regarding what is known as the New World Order, and their plan for global governance and fascist control of nations around the globe. 
 
Before I say anything about that, I should elaborate a bit on how the Internet fits in to all this.  With the rise of the Internet some things have evolved that have suited giant corporations, and their have been other things that have emerged that they no longer wish to tolerate.  One of those things is smaller and alternative media sites, that report on news and events in a different way to corporate media such as those that are behind the TV news and Newspapers in the US. 
 
It's no secret that corporations have a vision of a 'new internet' - one where you do not have any general access, but rather you pay a 'subscription' to different internet sites just like they are cable television channels.  On this list of sites you can subscribe to, you will probably find sites like CNN, Facebook and Activision's new gaming services like Battlenet and IWnet.  See the connection now?  Technologies like dedicated servers probably won't even function under this new system, and no this doesn't bode well for smaller sites like our own beloved Giantbomb. 
 
You may say well how on Earth would people ever accept this?   Well the answer is they won't, unless they stage a massive attack on the Internet first.  So it is very likely that there will be a massive internet outage, in an 'attack' that may be blamed on China, Russia, Terrorists, who knows.  But this will mess up everyone's internet, wreak havoc on financial markets, and things will never be the same again.  Because when it comes back, it will come back with all these new caveats and restrictions.  If you think that some of the conspiracy theories about 9/11 seem totally crazy, then likely this will as well.  But be warned this may happen very soon, anytime from now until end of the year. 
 
How can I be sure about the timing of this?  Well if you have been following the news you would know that the Swine Flu (now that is a manufactured crisis if ever I have seen one) has been declared a 'National Emergency', and people in the US are gradually getting used to an increased military and police presence that is getting ready to 'help people' with this crisis.  But more importantly It is very likely that war with Iran will break out before the end of the year, and if you know the politiics of that situation, it is likely to escalate.  No the powers that be do not want you to have access to alternative news media when this happens, they want you exposed purely to the propaganda they have ready to roll out.  They also want lots more credulous young kids to join the military. 
 
So try to get informed quickly people, and visit sites like infowars.com while you can, because you might not be able to do this for much longer.  I expect a few people are going to insult me for making bold claims like this, but I don't really care because I just want to get the message out there.
